Coach of the Year Awards: Nominations now open for 2015 Awards.
The Coach of the Year Awards are your chance to say thank you and recognize someone who helped you achieve your goal, learn something new, or become the person you want to be through archery.
Coaches can be nominated for any of the five categories, listed below. The winner of each category, in addition to USA Archery recognition, will also be nominated for the U.S. Olympic Committee’s Coach of the Year Awards.
The deadline for nomination is November 15, 2015. Please submit all nominations and questions about the process to Membership Services Manager Cindy Tobin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The categories for nomination are:
National Coach: A coach of an Elite Level Club, Collegiate, Pan-Am, World Championship or Olympic Games coach or the coach of an elite athlete who competes at the highest level.
Developmental Coach: A coach of a youth club, high school or junior-level coach, or a coach directly responsible for coaching athletes to the junior and/or elite level.
Volunteer Coach: A coach who does not receive payment in any form for their involvement in coaching at any level.
Doc Counsilman "Science" Award: A coach that utilizes scientific techniques/equipment as an integral part of his/her coaching methods, or has created innovative ways to use sport science.
Paralympic Coach: Coach of an Elite Level Club, Collegiate, Parapan-Am, World Archery Para Championship or Paralympic Games coach or the coach of an elite athlete who competes at the highest Paralympic level.
