Masters wins first U.S. women's cross-country medal in 20 years

Cross-country skiing: Masters wins silver, McFadden and Soule take fifth
Paralympic Winter Games rookie Oksana Masters won the first medal in Sochi for the U.S. Paralympic Nordic Skiing Team after finishing second in today's women's sitting 12-kilometer cross-country race. Masters' silver medal is the first U.S. women's Paralympic medal in cross-country in 20 years. Visually impaired skier Michelle Drolet was the last American woman to medal in cross-country, claiming bronze in the women's 5km free technique at the Lillehammer 1994 Paralympic Winter Games. Tatyana McFadden and Andy Soule also raced well, finishing fifth in the women's 12km and men's 15km, respectively. More 

Alpine skiing: Mark Bathum wins silver medal in super-G
Mark Bathum (on right) and guide Cade Yamamoto won silver in the men's visually impaired class to lead Team USA to four top-10 finishes in the men's super-G at the Rosa Khutor Alpine Center. Bathum is now a two-time Paralympic medalist after finishing as the runner-up in downhill at the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games. More

Sled hockey: USA knocks off South Korea, 3-0
Adam Page scored twice, Dan McCoy tallied a pair of assists and goaltender Steve Cash turned away nine shots to help the U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team defeat Korea, 3-0, in its second preliminary-round game of the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games. More

Wheelchair curling: USA gets in the win column  
Led by a fantastic shooting output by Patrick McDonald, Team USA was back to its old ways with an 8-5 win over Norway at the Ice Cube Curling Center. With the win, McDonald and teammates David Palmer, Jimmy Joseph, Penny Greely and alternate Meghan Lino improve to 1-2 in the round robin standings. More

Saying Navy Lt. Commander Dan Cnossen's journey to becoming an elite Paralympic Nordic athlete has happened quickly is an understatement. His fast rise through the sport has been downright supersonic. Cnossen finished 13th in today's men's sitting 15-kilometer cross-country race. More
