The Greek capital of Athens, the host city of the 2004 Paralympic Games, will stage the International Paralympic Committee General Assembly and Conference this November.
Taking place at the Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel, the IPC Conference will take place on Nov. 22, whilst the General Assembly will be held over the weekend of Nov. 23-24.On Nov. 24 elections for the IPC Governing Board will also take place. Up for election will be the position of IPC President, Vice President and 10 members at large.
"We're very excited and looking forward to heading back to Athens for this year's General Assembly," said Xavier Gonzalez, IPC chief executive officer."The venue will be familiar for many as it acted as the Paralympic Family Hotel during the 2004 Paralympic Games."This year's event has extra significance due to the Governing Board elections and we will be communicating the nominations process to all members in due course."
