Eleanor Brimmer (Wayazata, Minn.) and horse Carino H. Brimmer has Cerebral Palsy that causes weakness in her left leg and hand. his horse and rider combination is competing among 23 other Para-Equestrians at the 2012 USEF Paralympic Selection Trials and National Championships. There are only four spots on the US Team headed to London and this Trials which runs June 10-13 will determine those four riders. The Selection Trials is held at the United States Equestrian Team Foundation Headquarters in Gladstone, N.J.

With a national title and four spots on the U.S. Paralympic Equestrian Team on the line in Gladstone, N.J., the level of competition was at an all-time high June 11 at the National Para-Equestrian Championships which are being held in conjunction with the USEF Para-Equestrian Dressage Paralympic Selection Trials. Six combinations scored over 70% with Donna Ponessa and Western Rose jumping out to an early lead.
