Record Number of Athletes Head for Endeavor Games

WHERE: University of Central Oklahoma (Wellness Center, Hamilton Field House and Practice Fields) and Edmond North High School Track.
WHAT: The 2010 University of Central Oklahoma Endeavor Games for Athletes with Physical Disabilities is the nation's largest annual multi-sport event for physically disabled athletes of all ages.
The games will welcome a record 475 participants in 11 sport competitions from 30 states and four countries - including a large number of wounded service men and women who are both learning and mastering adaptive sports.
The event will host sport clinics on June 10 including, for the first time, an adaptive rock-climbing clinic at Rocktown Climbing Gym in Oklahoma City. The official opening celebration for this year's Endeavor Games will be held June 11 during the Oklahoma City Redhawks game against the Albuquerque Isotopes.
Competitions will be held June 11-13 in the sports of powerlifting, table tennis, wheelchair basketball, swimming, sitting volleyball, cycling, wheelchair track and field, ambulatory track and field, indoor archery, outdoor archery and shooting.
