World Sport Chicago Seeking Student-Athletes for Scholarship Opportunity
World Sport Chicago (WSC) is the living legacy of Chicago's 2016 Bid for the Olympic & Paralympic Games. WSC is committed to supporting Chicago's youth by encouraging them to participate in sport and to help them grow athletically and academically.
The World Sport Chicago Scholarship program, created to reward Chicago high school juniors for their commitment to athletics, academics and the Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship and Respect has not been impacted by the bid decision and WSC is actively seeking students who have played an eligible summer Olympic or Paralympic sport and have at least a C average to apply.
Up to 56 World Sport Chicago Scholars will receive Kaplan ACT Tutoring, a Chicago Scholars mentoring program and the opportunity to compete for one of 16 renewable college scholarships worth up to $10,000 annually ($40,000 total), supported by the MacArthur Foundation.
The deadline for applications is November 30, 2009.

With your support, Chicago students will succeed both on and off the playing field and the Olympic spirit will flourish.
