U.S. finishes with 11 medals at 2009 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships

MANCHESTER, England - Team USA collected four more medals on the final day of competition at the 2009 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships to bring its three-day medal total to 11.

On Sunday, the U.S. was led by gold medals and world records from Jennifer Schuble (Homewood, Ala.) in the women's CP4 time trial and Karissa Whitsell (Eugene, Ore.) and pilot Mackenzie Woodring (Grand Rapids, Mich.) in the women's blind/visually impaired pursuit.

Greta Neimanas (Colorado Springs, Colo./Chicago, Ill.) grabbed her second silver medal of the event, taking second in the women's LC1 time trial and Barb Buchan (Bend, Ore.) also picked up her second medal, taking bronze in the women's CP3 time trial.

Team USA's 11 total medals consisted of five gold, four silver and two bronze.
