BlazeSports America and U.S. Paralympics are pleased to continue our 2009 Webinar Series on Wednesday, November 18,  2009 at 2:00 EST with a webinar entitled: Paratriathlon: Cross-training to Competitive Opportunities.

Please feel free to forward this email to staff, volunteers, parents and any other colleague who might be interested in this topic.

Our speaker will be:

Mike Lenhart, Founder and President of The Getting2Tri Foundation, Inc.

This webinar will provide an overview of the organization, it's mission and core values.  Our speaker will share stories of how Getting2Tri uses the sport of triathlon as a means to establish and accomplish goals for individuals with disabilities.  Lenhart will discuss G2T's national paratriathlete training camp, held annually in March in Atlanta, as well as resources available beyond the camp to support the needs of individuals looking to do everything from simple active lifestyles to training to compete in an Ironman triathlon.  As part of these discussions, Lenhart will explain the importance of cross-training for athletes focusing on the individual sports of swimming, cycling and/or track/road racing.

Please note, we have eliminated the need for a long-distance phone call to hear the verbal portion of the webinar. If your computer has speakers or headphones you will not need to use a phone to hear the presenter. If you do not have speakers or headphones and you wish to hear the audio or verbal portion of the webinar you will be required to make a long distance phone call. This webinar is also in PowerPoint format and does not include a live video feed.
