June 03, 2009, 1:07 p.m. (ET)

The Mighty Tour de Nez, coming up June 18-20, marks a triumphant return to the U.S. Handcycling Series, and the Reno Criterium will double as the US Handcycling National Criterium Championship.

The handcycling division will be run as an Omnium and includes three days of racing:

- The Truckee downtown criterium on Thursday, June 18
- The downtown Reno Criterium on Friday, June 19
- The Village at Northstar Circuit Race on Saturday, June 20.

This will be the first time for handcycling on Saturday's Northstar course, which -- according to event director Tim Healion -- has some teeth: "It's pretty hilly, but the handcyclists are all for it!" said Healion.
