2010 U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team Tryout Camp Announced

Feb. 24, 2009, 5:09 p.m. (ET)

The 2010 U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team tryout camp is scheduled for July 1-2, 2009.  The tryouts will take place in Rochester, New York at the ESL Sports Center.  The tryouts are open to any sled hockey player (male or female) who is registered with USA Hockey (must be a USA citizen).  Younger players may need prior approval to try out.

The team selected at this camp will be nominated to the 2010 U.S. Paralympic Team to compete at the Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada.

The National Team tryouts immediately follow the USA Hockey Sled Hockey Player Development Camp (this camp is by invitation only and for players 20 years of age and under), and completes the "Summer Sled Week."

This will be the second year of the "Summer Sled Week" and it is being done to save the players substantial transportation costs that would be significantly higher if these events were held separately. Summer Sled Week Schedule
