Fabry to Shoot for Gold; Mize, Wolfe Vying for Bronze at 2009 Para-Archery World Championships

NYMBURK, Czech Republic--Jeff Fabry (Tulare, Calif.) won his semifinal round match in the men's Compound W1 division and will shoot for a gold medal at the 2009 Para-Archery World Championships.  Fabry has already broken two world records at this week's competition.

U.S. teammates Jonathan Mize (Muncie, Ind.), men's Compound Open division, and Russell Wolfe, men's Recurve W2 division, were each defeated in their semifinal matches and will vie for bronze medals. 

All medal round matches will take place this Saturday, August 22.

First round matches of the men's Compound Open team event were also held today and the second-ranked U.S. team of Mize, Joe Bailey (Flushing, Mich.) and Dugie Denton (Joliet, Mont.) was defeated by Germany.
