U.S. Swimmers Win Fourteen Medals at 2009 Loterias Caixa International Meet

Seven U.S. swimmers recently traveled to Rio de Janeiro for the 2009 Loterias Caixa International Meet and earned a total of 14 medals in 14 swims during the two day competition.

Amanda Everlove (Wichita, Kan.) won gold medals in the 50m and 100m free; Casey Johnson (Cypress, Calif.) swam to gold in the 50m fly and silver in the 100m free; April Kerley (Mason, Ohio) earned gold in the 50m free and silver in the 100m free; Erin Popovich grabbed gold medals in both the 50m fly and 50m free; Elizabeth Stone (Grand Rapids, Mich.) won gold in the 100m free and silver in the 50m free; Miranda Uhl (Alachua, Fla.) took gold in the 100m free and silver in the 50m fly; and Curtis Lovejoy (Atlanta, Ga.) won silver in the 50m free and bronze in the 100m free.
