Two Paralympic Athletes Participate in 2008 Real Deal Inclusive Sports Adventure

RANCHO DEL RIO, COLO.- Paralympic athletes Matt King (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Sarah Will (Vail, Colo.) recently participated in the 2008 Real Deal Inclusive Sports Adventure, a unique experience inspired by world renowned climber, Erik Weihenmayer.

The event featured team's of five participants, two of whom were participants with physical disabilities, one of whom was non-ambulatory. The adventure included mountain biking, white water rafting, climbing, hiking, rappelling, a zip-line over the Colorado River, orienteering, swimming and multiple team problem-solving activities.

Wheihenmayer, who has been blind since age 13, was able to help put together a total of 10 teams and 50 participants this year. The adventure showcased the power of what happens when participants with and without physical disabilities work together to strive for achievement.

The Real Deal Inclusive Sports Adventure will be broadcast nationally on NBC Sports' Jeep World of Adventure Sports on Nov. 8, 2008.
