COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Hartford, a leading provider of disability insurance in the United States, is pleased to announce a donation of $37,210, raised by its employees at its annual golf tournament to support U.S. Paralympics.
The Hartford is a Founding Partner of U.S. Paralympics.
"The Hartford team members are amazing," said Charlie Huebner, Chief of Paralympics, U.S. Olympic Committee. "As a company, The Hartford provides significant support for U.S. Paralympics, but what makes The Hartford an amazing partner is the philanthropic commitment of individual Hartford employees that allow our athletes to pursue their Paralympic dreams."
More than 240 Hartford employees participated in the fourth annual event. Since it began in 2005, The Hartford's golf event and auction has raised more than $108,000 for U.S. Paralympics.
"The founding partnership with U.S. Paralympics is so important to our company and our employees as it reinforces our Ability Philosophy," said John Carideo, Assistant Director of sponsorships for The Hartford. "This is just another opportunity for us to help our athletes realize their dreams and goals and another chance for us to introduce the Paralympics and the amazing accomplishments of these elite athletes with physical disabilities to a wider audience."About The Hartford:
