FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Media accreditation applications are now being accepted for the 2008 Paralympic Games, which will be held in Beijing, China, September 6-17, 2008. In the United States, U.S. Paralympics, a division of the U.S. Olympic Committee, will handle the accreditation process for U.S.-based news organizations from the request stage through allocations, and final submission to the International Paralympic Committee. The accreditation procedure will apply to written and photography press, non-rights holding radio and television broadcasting companies and internet journalists. Accreditation applications can be found online at http://18.104.22.168/paralympics/paralympic_games.html. The deadline for applications is May 2, 2008. The International Sports Broadcasting (ISB), host broadcaster for the 2008 Paralympic Games, will manage the accreditation process for rights holding broadcasters.
