The third week of "Dancing with the Stars" was an emotional one as the celebrities danced in tribute to the most memorable year of their life. Team USA athletes Meryl Davis, Amy Purdy and Charlie White remained at the top of the leaderboard. Olympic ice dance gold medalist Davis stood alone in first place with a score of 39 out of 40, receiving the first 10s of the season for her tribute to her Olympic journey. White, Davis' ice dance partner, also honored his Olympic journey on the dance floor, earning 36 out of 40. Paralympic snowboard bronze medalist Purdy paid tribute to the year her legs were amputated/her father donated a kidney to save her life, bringing the ballroom to tears and also earning 36 out of 40. Purdy and White, along with actress Danica McKellar and actor James Maslow, tied for second place.
