Aug 05 Gallery: Team USA Crowned Best Team At Swimming World Championships

Katie Ledecky won gold in the 1,500-meter free (setting a world record) on July 30, the 800-meter freestyle (setting a world record) on Aug. 3 and the 400-meter freestyle (setting an American record) July 28. In addition to her individual races, Ledecky also helped Team USA win the women's 4x200-meter freestyle relay on Aug. 1. Due to her record-breaking performance she was awarded Best Female Swimmer for the meet.

Team USA earned a collective 31 medals (14 gold) and was named Best Team at the 15th FINA World Championships, which took place July 19-Aug. 4 in Barcelona, Spain.
