NBA MVP, NBA finals MVP, NBA champion and Olympic gold medalist LeBron James was named Sportsman of the Year after his successful 2012 season. James, a three-time Olympic medalist, won bronze in 2004 and gold in 2008 and 2012. James shares an honor with Michael Jordan as being the only players to win an NBA championship, NBA MVP and Olympic gold medal in the same year.
