Laura Bennett Blog - Getting back into the Groove
Routine is so great. We are back into it after my last race in Des Moines, IA, HyVee World Cup, which turned out to be a very solid performance which I was very pleased with all things considered. Picking up a sinus infection on the Monday before the race piled up yet another challenge that has come to me in this last 6 weeks. I finished fourth and was very excited to race strong, not fantastic but strong.
Now back into routine in Boulder, CO, I believe I have come over the hump of sickness that went from an 8 out 10 before the race to 10 out of 10 after, of course. Part of my routine is core work with a good friend, Monica Byrn, instructed by Wendy McClure at Body Dynamics. Boulder is funny and only in Boulder as Wendy puts it would you have a pregnant woman and an Olympian in the same class getting what they need.
I am looking forward to my month build into the Games.
