Snowboarding will host a teleconference Thursday, Jan. 17 to preview the 2008 X Games and review the season at 8:30 a.m. Mountain Time (10:30 a.m. Eastern) with two-time X Games halfpipe champion Steve Fisher (Breckenridge, Colo.), Olympic silver medalist and X Games medalist Gretchen Bleiler (Aspen, Colo.), X Games medalist Louie Vito (Columbus, Ohio/Sandy, Utah), and U.S. Snowboarding Halfpipe Head Coach Mike Jankowski. Bleiler, an Olympic silver medalist, has won twice at the X Games and was silver medalist in 2007. She has five World Cup wins and four other podiums. Fisher, who excited the X Games crowd last year by beating Olympic pipe champion Shaun White, won the 2007 Mt. Bachelor Chevy Grand Prix and Breckenridge Progression Session that earned him an opportunity to compete at The Artic Challenge last year. Vito, a 19-year-old with the boarding abilities of a veteran, took the scene by storm in 2007 by finishing second at both Mt. Bachelor and Tamarack Chevy Revolution Tour stops. The 2008 X Games will take place Jan. 24-27 in Aspen/Snowmass, Colo. Over 20 Olympians and Paralympians are expected to participate.
