Doping accusations sideline 50 athletes
BEIJING (AP) A breakdown of the 51 Olympic athletes who will miss the Beijing Games because of doping accusations:
Greece (15) - 11 unnamed weightlifters, one undentified boxer, swimmer Ioannis Drymonakos and sprinters Tassos Gousis and Katerina Thanou.
Bulgaria (11) - Weightlifters Ivailo Filev, Demir Demirev, Mehmed Fikretov, Ivan Stoitsov, Georgi Markov, Ivan Markov, Alan Tsagaev, Velichko Cholakov, Milka Maneva, Donka Mincheva and Gergana Kirilova.
Russia (10) - Race walkers Vladimir Kanaikin, Alexei Voyevodin and Viktor Burayev; cyclist Vladimir Gusev; steeplechase runner Roman Usov; track and field athletes Yelena Soboleva, Tatyana Tomashova, Yulia Fomenko, Gulfiya Khanafeyeva and Darya Pishchalnikova.
China (3) - Race walker Song Hongjuan, swimmer Ouyang Kunpeng and wrestler Luo Meng.
Romania (3) - Middle distance runners Liliana Popescu, Elena Antoci and Cristina Vasiloiu.
Italy (2) - Fencer Andrea Baldini and cyclist Marta Bastianelli.
Brazil (1) - Handball player Jaqson Kojoroski.
Denmark (1) - Mountain biker Peter Riis Andersen.
India (1) - Weightlifter Monika Devi.
Jamaica (1) - Sprinter Julien Dunkley.
Netherlands (1) - Steeplechaser Simon Vroemen.
