The United States Olympic Committee is bringing the magic of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games to hundreds of thousands of people nationwide through the Road to Sochi Tour presented by Liberty Mutual Insurance. Beginning Oct. 29 in New York City's Times Square, the 13-stop interactive sports tour is traveling across the country through the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.
Built around U.S. Olympic Team Trials, various community events and Team USA Celebrations during the Sochi Olympic Winter Games, each tour stop will host Olympic and Paralympic athletes and Sochi 2014 hopefuls for autograph sessions, while welcoming fans in communities big and small to try out their Olympic and Paralympic skills through a number of interactive sport elements. Additionally, fans can purchase limited-edition "Go USA" fan mittens through the USOC’s Raise Your Hands campaign, which helps to raise funds for Team USA athletes. The mittens are priced at $14 per pair.
The tour features 11 partners, including presenting sponsor Liberty Mutual Insurance, Coca-Cola, AT&T, Budweiser, Chobani, Folgers (Smucker’s), Hilton HHonors, Jif (Smucker’s), Kellogg’s, Smucker’s jams and United Airlines, and each stop is free and open to the public.
