Paul Greene represents athletes, both domestically and internationally, in litigation and arbitrations. He is recognized by Chambers USA as one of America’s leading Sports Lawyers for Athletic Disputes. Chambers USA writes “Paul is making a considerable name for himself in sports law.” He has successfully represented athletes in Olympic eligibility and nationality arbitrations and anti-doping matters as well as cases involving athlete rights of publicity, internet and intellectual property rights, civil rights, immigration and contract rights.
Paul has published various articles on the topic of athletes’ rights including Doping: Incorrect Sanctions and Impact on Anti-Doping (World Sports Law Report) (2012) and “Is the International Olympic Committee Above the Law?” Entertainment and Sports Lawyer (2010). In addition, Paul moderated “Law and the Olympic Movement”, a symposium hosted by the University of Maine School of Law and presented on the topic of athletes’ rights under the Olympic Charter at the Ithaca College London Conference on Law, Policy and the Olympics. He teaches Sports Law as an adjunct professor at the University of Maine School of Law.
