Program Specialist


Coordinator, Internet Content & Development

Basic Function: Manages and creates dynamic daily content and new technology for the network of sites managed by USA Hockey.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Posts daily content to, and other network sites, including articles, photos, podcasts, video and other digital content
  • Works with freelance content company to augment digital content needs
  • Produces content for and USA Hockey Magazine from various events
  • Uses web analytics and other resources to monitor pages and sites to maximize the user experience on both desktop and mobile devices
  • Works with internal departments to train staff to post and edit content when applicable
  • Identifies development opportunities and needs within USA Hockey’s content management, event management and other digital properties
  • Serves as internal and external support when needed for website issues, membership concerns and any other questions



  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in journalism, communications, public relations, and/or marketing
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Strong understanding of hockey
  • Experience writing, editing and producing content under deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays. Some travel possible

Beneficial Experiences

  • Experience producing, shooting and editing video including on-camera work
  • Experience with customer support, preferably technology customer support

Salary: Commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position with an excellent benefit package
