Colleen Young was born with albinism and is legally blind. At age 3, Young began swimming. Her passion for the sport developed after she realized that she could focus on herself instead of a ball, which was a challenge when she played soccer and softball. In 2012, she became the youngest member at 14-years-old to compete on the U.S. Paralympic Team in London.
