  • Three-time Olympian in archery; silver medal winner in 2000, eighth place in 2004, sixth place in 2008 
  • Helped lead U.S. Men's Team to first ever World Field Team Championship in 2006
  • Won Shenk Award for second straight year in 2006 - presented to best all-around U.S. archer
  • Named to 2006-'07 U.S. Archery Team, which is the 16th U.S. or Junior U.S. team he's been on in his career

Did You Know?

  • Two-time Junior World Champion - Individual.
  • Tried out for U.S. Olympic Archery team three times before he made it.
  • Father Terry and sisters Sally and Dawn are all national champion archers.
  • Grandfather and father were hunters and started Vic in archery.
  • Shot first arrow at age five with a bow made out of a willow tree branch.
  • Coached by Larry Skinner since he was 13.
  • Would like to eventually work for the Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources.
  • Graduated from Texas A&M in 2002 with degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences.
  • Competed on the archery, rifle, pistol and fishing teams at Texas A&M.
  • Three-time U.S. Intercollegiate Champion and four-time All-American at Texas A&M.
  • Four-time Junior Nationals Outdoor Champion and three-time Junior Nationals Indoor Champion.
  • Won first competition at age six in an under-12 age division.
