Wold was a two-time All-America and all-region selection at Freehold Boro High School. She was the youngest athlete at the 2012 Women's National Championship, where she impressed national coaches with her stick skills and speed through the midfield. She proved capable of competing with the top athletes in the U.S. and was named to the U.S. Women's National Team at the age of 17. The University of North Carolina's star freshman made her debut with the U.S. Women's National Team at World League Round 2 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil against the host nation on March 4, 2013. Since then, Wold has been an integral part of Team USA's midfield, impressing the world at the 2014 Rabobank Hockey World Cup.
