Mario Valencia, junior world champion, earned two medals at the 2011 Pan American Championships in Rosario, Argentina. Mario’s silver and bronze medal at the championships helped Team USA secure their spot at the 2011 Pan American Games that will be held in October in Guadalajara, Mexico. Mario also earned an individual bronze with the help of teammate Justin Mannon at the 2011 World Championships and a relay bronze with teammates Justin Mannon and Drew Valinsky.

Career goals: I want to be a stockbroker.

When did you begin skating: I started skating when I was 4 years old.

Future goals you hope to obtain as a skater: I hope to win a gold medal at the senior World Championships.

I received seven medals at the 2010 World Championships in Guarne, Colombia. I received one gold medal, three silver medals and three bronze medals.

I earned two medals at the 2011 Pan American Championships in Rosario, Argentina. I received one silver medal and one bronze medal.

List your hobbies: I like playing tennis and going to the movies.

What music do you listen to during training or competition? I like all kinds of music.

Favorite food before a competition: I eat just about anything.
