Yewki Tomita


Tomita's parents, Yoichi and Setsuko, are gym owners and he has two sisters. He is looking toward some sort of international business career that offers him the opportunity to travel. He enjoys basketball, golf, playing poker and participating in various community service and outreach programs. Surgeries kept him out of the last quadrennium and he had shoulder surgery in the spring of 2006. He has his sights on an Olympic gold medal.

How did you get involved?: I was born into it since my dad was and is a coach.
Favorite Gymnastics Thing: The challenge of pursuing perfection and the highs and sometimes lows of competing. It is such a rush!

Goals: Olympic Gold Medal Team in 2008, challenge for the gold on pommel horse and high bar at the '08 Games
