PERSONAL: Born Taylor Lee Sander in 1992 in Fountain Valley, Calif... Parents are Steve and Kera Sander... Has one brother, Brenden (1995), and one sister, Britney (1989)...Began playing indoor volleyball in 1999 with Mavericks Volleyball Club...Has played beach volleyball for four years... Favorite food is chicken parmesan/pasta... Favorite book is ‘Animal Farm’ ... Favorite sports team is the Los Angeles Lakers and his favorite athlete is Kobe Bryant... Interests include actions sports dirt biking and wakeboarding… Most admired people are his parents “for all their unconditional love and support”…Lists “anytime I get to laugh out loud with my friends and family” as his happiest moment in life.

USA VOLLEYBALL HIGHLIGHTS: 2014 – Named Most Valuable Player of the FIVB World League Final Round as the U.S. Men won the gold medal... Made his international debut with the senior U.S. Men's Team at the NORCECA World Championship Qualifier in Colorado Springs where the team won a gold medal and Sander won Best Server.  2011 – Member of the U.S. Men's Junior National Team that will compete in the 2011 FIVB Men's Junior World Championships in Brazil... 2010 – Member of the U.S. Men's Junior National Team that won the NORCECA Men's Junior Continental Championship in Gatineau, Quebec. Sander was the United States' third-leading scorer (tied for 23 overall), finishing with 30 points on 32 kills, three blocks and five aces... His five aces led the team (ninth overall) and he averaged 0.33 aces per set... He was the United States' third-leading hitter and seventh overall with a kill percentage of 0.50 and a hitting percentage of 0.33. 2009 – Member of the Boys' Youth National Team that finished 10th at the FIVB Boys’ Youth World Championship and was named USA Volleyball’s 2009 Indoor Team of the Year.. 2008 – Member of Boys' Youth National Team that won gold at NORCECA Championship... Attended High Performance Holiday Camp. 2007 – Attended High Performance Holiday Camp.
