Rydberg is a tennis coach at East Ridge High. He is married to Sarah, and together they have two sons Atticus and Elias. Rydberg is a Wild fan and an explorer of Thai restaurants. Hobbies include boating, hockey to an extreme, and spending time with friends and family. He was a member of the 1997 National Intercollegiate Basketball Championship Team at the University of Texas at Arlington.
