  • Appeared in a television commercial during Super 49
  • At 17 years old, Travis was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in his right knee. He beat the cancer through a knee replacement and eight months of chemotherapy, but the surgery resulted in a series of staph infections. After 16 surgeries and two additional knee replacements, Travis decided to have the leg amputated
  • Travis' hobbies include triathlons and coaching high school wrestling
  • Travis’ hobbies include coaching wrestling, doing triathalons and cooking
  • He works for a non-profit called Challenged Athletes Foundation, which helps people with physical disabilities participate in sports by funding competitions, training or adaptive equipment
  • The person he admires most is his high school wrestling coach, Gerald Knuppel, because, “He taught me how to be a man, give my all in sports and never compromise my morals or philosophy for the win.”
  • He played volleyball at Clairemont High School
