Samantha Pruitte is a 2009 Member of the Jr. USAT Team as a Junior Women Compound Archer. She is a member of Pruitte's Archery and is coached by her father Jim Pruitte. The 2009 Competitive Season has brought much success for Samantha. During the indoor season she helped the junior women earn a gold medal at the Indoor Worlds along with claiming 5th place in the individual competition. During domestic competitions Pruitte has also seen her fair share of success. At the SI Cup junior competition this May she was the 1st place finisher and while competing in the senior division she earned a second place finish at the 2009 World Team Trials. The second place finished earned a spot to the World Target Championships in Ulsan, Korea. Pruitte has decided to forego the WTC to begin her collegiate experience.
In July Samantha will be competing as a member of the Junior World Championships in Ogden, UT. Her goal is to bring home the gold while competing in Ogden. Her long-term goals include finishing her degree in nursing and starting a family. The greatest influence in Samantha's life have been her parents who have always pushed her to become better.
