Pickett chose to Waldorf College, two hours away from Minneapolis, to play basketball after high school. In his first trip to Nationals, MNTH placed second in the open division after which I wanted to try to take handball to the next level. Pickett joined the training academy at Idrætshøjskolen Århus in January 2011. The 6'3" back court player has a long list of things he wants to accomplish in handball including medaling at all three major events for Team USA (Pan Am Games, World Championships, and Olympics). When Pickettt is not playing handball, you can usually find him playing another sport.(basketball, baseball, paintball, football, soccer(futbol), etc). He also plays a lot of Xbox 360 online. Additionally, he boasts a large collection of Jordan and Nike sneakers. The Wisconsin native has three sister: Kristen, Abbie and McKenzie. His parents are Steve and Deb Pickett and the family also has two dogs: Chewy, a Rottweiler, and Zues, Rottweiler Lab mix. Pickett grew up in Darlington, Wisconsin - a town of 2,300 people.
