Melissa Perry, 2010 Team USA member from Dighton, Mass., was awarded Skater of the Year for the Northeast region. Melissa won a gold medal at the 2010 USA Roller Sports (USARS) Indoor Inline Speed Skating National Championships in Lincoln, Neb. and recently qualified through her regional championships to compete in five events at the 2011 USARS Indoor Inline Speed Skating National Championships that will be held in Fort Wayne, Ind. in July.
