Bela was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to California where she discovered synchronized swimming and has loved it ever since. She swam for the Santa Clara Aquamaids and has represented the national team for four years. She just graduated from Saratoga High School and is now taking classes at Diablo Valley College, and planning on transferring to UC Berkeley. Bela's ultimate goal is to help the US climb back up the podium and compete in the Olympic games.
