The 2009-2010 season marked Ian Jansing’s second season with the U.S. Adaptive Alpine Ski Team.

Born with cerebral palsy, Jansing got into skiing at a young age at Hidden Valley, a small hill near his hometown of St. Louis, Mo. Then, after a visit to the National Sports Center of Disabled in Colorado he was sold on the idea of becoming a ski racer and made the move to Winter Park, Colo. at the age of 16.

Jansing says that if he wasn’t an athlete, he would be an eighth grade history teacher.  He plays golf and enjoys spending time with friends and his two dogs, Aspen and Pines.
