Personal
In 2004, Fithian was named Kansas' Mr. Basketball and Kansas' Gatorade Player of the Year. After graduating McPherson High School as All-Time Leading Scorer in basketball, Fithian attended Emporia State University as a member of the Men's basketball team. He began playing handball with New England Freeze in 2008 and moved to Germany a year later to pursue the sport.

Wife, Jennifer, has been a USA Women's Team Handball player since joining the residency program in 2006. She spent three years playing in the top divisions in Germany. Fithian is a Sales and Operations expert for Graphic Packaging International. Jordan and Jennifer have a daughter, Charlotte Mae.
