BIOGRAPHY
It's amazing where straight As on a report card in junior high will get you. For Andy Finch, it literally changed his life when, as a reward for the excellent grades, he was given a snowboard from his parents. From there, during his first year riding, Finch was entering competitions and making his way up the snowboarding ladder.

UPDATE
Finch hit up the season's first stop of the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix in 2009 and impressed the fans with a sixth-place finish, but opted for little competition the rest of the season. This summer, he spent time coaching at a Windells camp, remodeling a bathroom, surfing, and gearing up for what he hopes will be one of his greatest seasons in 2010.

FIRST TRACKS
Much like anyone in extreme sports, as a youngster Andy was a daredevil, starting to jump off of things as soon as he could walk. "He was always trying to fly," said his mom, Joanie. "One time I came in his room when he was just a toddler, and he had a box on top of a chair and a 3-legged stool on top of that, and he was just getting ready to fly across the room."

I AM
