Ferguson enjoyed his finest season in 2007, which featured a best-ever fourth place finish at the USA Outdoor Championships, and the first Track & Field News world ranking (#7) of his career. His win at the 2007 adidas Track Classic in Carson, Calif., lowered his personal best time in the 400m hurdles to 48.15 seconds. In 2005, Ferguson had a strong season as an elite athlete following a stellar career in the junior ranks. His 2005 campaign was highlighted by a personal best (48.51) at the adidas track Classic and a sixth-place finish at the USA Outdoor Championships. In 2003, Ferguson set a Pan American Junior Championships record in winning the men’s 110m at the Barbados National Stadium in Waterford, St. Michael in a time of 13.60 seconds. Ferguson continued his winning streak after striking gold in the 400m hurdles with a time of 50.07 seconds. The Detroit, Mich., native ran the third leg on the 4x400m relay team that set a Pan American Junior Championships record of 3:02.88. At the 2003 USA Junior Championships, Ferguson won the 110m hurdles and 400m hurdles in a single day. The South Carolina freshman first won the high hurdles in a time of 13.60. Exactly three hours later, Ferguson won the 400m hurdles in an even more impressive performance. The Southeastern Conference champion dominated the field before jogging across the finish line in 50.70 seconds – more than a full second ahead of second-place Adrian Walker of Illinois (51.73). Ferguson is the high school state record holder in the indoor 60m hurdles (7.75), 110m hurdles (13.61), the 300m hurdles (35.90) and with the 4x400m relay (3:13.70). Ferguson was ranked fourth nationally all-time in the college hurdles as a high schooler (13.83). He and his girl friend Allyson Felix team up with 400m Olympic bronze medalist David Neville and his wife Arial in a bowling league in Santa Clarita, Calif., on a team called ‘The Four By Four.”
