USA VOLLEYBALL HIGHLIGHTS: 2013 – Selected the Men’s Junior National Training Team.  2012 – Selected for the U.S. Men's Junior National Team that won the NORCECA Championship in Colorado Springs, Colo., and qualified for the 2013 FIVB World Championship. 2011/2010 – Selected for the A2 High Performance Camp. 2011– Won second place at the A2 High Performance Tournament and was named Best Defensive Player. 2010 – Placed first at the A2 High Performance Tournament.

CLUB/PREP HIGHLIGHTS: Tony helped lead his club team to two bronze medal finishes at USA Volleyball Boys’ Junior National Championships in 2009 and 2010… Was an AAU 14U Beach National Champion… In high school, Tony was named Bay League Defensive Player of the Year in 2011… Played on two Varsity Bay League Championship teams in 2010 and 2011… Won bronze medals at the Junior National Championships in 2010 and 2009.

COLLEGE HIGHLIGHTS: 2013 – Saw action in 84 sets for Princeton University… Led the team in digs with 173 and finished third on the team with 27 assists. 2012 – Served as the starting libero his freshman season… Played in 91 sets…. First on the team in digs with 193, averaging 2.12 digs per set… Third on the team with 33 assists.

PERSONAL: Born Anthony Richard Ensbury (1993) in Torrance, Calif. ... Parents are Martin and Linda Ensbury…Brothers has two brothers, Martin (1990) and Nick (1993)… Nick is Tony’s twin and the two of them played volleyball together their whole lives until college (Nick plays club for University of Washington)… Tony is currently studying History at Princeton University…Tony was a scholar-athlete all four years at Mira Costa High School… He is also a lifetime member of the California Scholastic Federation…Studying Economics at Princeton University… His favorite food is quesadillas…Favorite book is Water for Elephants and favorite movie is Kingdom of Heaven… Tony enjoys electronica music and the band Deadmau5… His favorite sports team is the L.A. Lakers and his favorite athlete is Kobe Bryant…His hobbies include hanging out with friends, going to the beach, and playing FIFA… His most admired person is his father, Martin, because he, “has shown me how to balance being an amazing father and a successful businessman. He is always supportive of everything I do, and always has time to help me with anything I need.”… His favorite moment of life so far was when he committed to play volleyball at Princeton.
