More on Clare:

Clare started skiing in middle school and was a Maine high school state champion and two-time member of the New England Junior National Championship team. As an undergraduate at Wellesley College, she ran cross-country and track and started the Wellesley Ski Team, a club which continues to compete in the USCSA. After graduating in 2010, Clare spent a year at the University of New Hampshire, running, skiing, and pursuing a master's degree in linguistics. She was the women's Nordic team MVP and a nominee for 2010-11 UNH Student-Athlete of the Year. Clare joined the Craftsbury Green Racing Project in 2011 with the intent of finally making skiing a top priority, and began competing in biathlon in 2013.
