Personal: Began competitive cycling in 1997, was a tandem pilot for visually impaired cyclist, competed in 1998 World Disabled Cycling Championships. Was hit by a car on a training ride in September of 2000, paralyzed from the chest down (T-4). Began wheelchair racing in 2002.
Triathlon Career: On PC national team since 2004, qualified for and competed in World Championships in 2003, finished Redman Ironman in 2004, qualified for and competed in Hawaii Ironman in 2006, National Champion in 2006, finished Beach 2 Battleship Ironman in 2008
Athletic Background: Lettered in swimming and gymnastics in high school. Competed for the University of Vermont in diving. Post-college: competitive cyclist (road, track, cyclocross, tandem).
