Personal: Teaches fourth grade in Sahuarita, Ariz. When I’m not training, you can find me with my nose buried in a book.   

Triathlon Career: Member of the US PC National Team since 2004. USAT Female PC Athlete of the Year, 2007. Two-time World Champion: Queenstown, New Zealand, 2003; Hamburg, Germany, 2007; (Silver Medalist at Vancouver, British Columbia, 2008; Ironman Finisher.

Athletic background: 4-time National Half Marathon Champion; World’s Fastest Marathon run by a female leg amputee 2002-2006; ultra running is a big interest of mine. PB in an ultra: 50K 4:58, Toronto Ultra; first female leg amputee to finish a 50-mile run, 2009; finished 10+ marathons; first female leg amputee to run the Boston Marathon, 2001.
