Hannah Curwin's most recent skating accomplishments include competing in the 2012 Oceana Regional Qualifier; placing 1st in the 3000m at the 2012 U.S. Junior Championships; placing 2nd overall at the 2012 U.S. Junior Championships; qualifying for the 2012 World Junior Championships in Obihiro, Japan; and placing 4th in the 3000m with a time of 4:20.12 at the 2012 North American Championships.

Curwin is a full-time speed skater and university student.  She currently trains at the Calgary Olympic Oval under the guidance of Andrey Zhuikov, to whom she is forever grateful for sharing his knowledge and lifelong passion for the sport.  She is in her second year at the Haskayne School of Business at University of Calgary, majoring in International Business and minoring in French.  Curwin enjoys singing in her church group, playing piano, and teaching Sunday school.  She loves to spend her summers in Duluth, MN, where she moved with her family at the age of 8, as she misses having Lake Superior in her backyard (although the Canadian Rockies are a close second!).
