It was an amazing experience, living in the Olympic Village and meeting athletes from all over the world. There were also thousands of teenage volunteers from Singapore helping with the YOG. One of the volunteers I met was traveling in the USA over Christmas and we invited her and her family to our house and served them an American meal of barbeque hamburgers, potato salad, apple pie and brownies.”
