Triathlon Career: Member of the 2010 USA Paratriathlon National Team • Captured three straight USA Paratriathlon national titles in the TRI-4 category in 2008, 2009 and 2010 • Finished fifth at the 2010 ITU Paratriathlon World Championship • Won her first race as a paratriathlete at the 2008 Accenture USA Paratriathlon National Championship nearly one year to the day after she was hit by a van on a training ride • The accident nearly took her life and cost her the use of her arm • Her 2009 performance in New York would have placed eighth overall in her age group • Was the top paratriathlon finisher at the 2010 Florida Ironman 70.3 and at the 2009 Chicago Triathlon • Completed a number of triathlons before her accident.
