Lisa Carlock Director of Finance

As the director of finance, Lisa Carlock is responsible for helping to maintain the fiscal integrity of USABS by handling the organization’s finances. Carlock tracks budgets, incomes and expenditures and applies the principles of accounting to record and analyze financial information and prepare financial reports. At all times, she keeps a finger on the financial pulse of the USABS. She is also accountable for assisting the CEO in coordinating the human resource responsibilities of the office.

In addition, she performs the following accounting activities:

• Maintains general ledger
• Manages all grant financial reporting to the USOC
• Ensures that USOC grant spending is consistent with USOC policies and approved spending schedules
• Prepares monthly closings, including bank reconciliations, and provides monthly income statement and balance sheet for review by the CEO
• Creates and manages annual cash flow statement, updates monthly
• Year-end closings
• Prepares for and assists the independent auditor with the annual external audit
• Prepares for and assists the USOC auditor with the USOC funding audit
• Maintains all company bank accounts, responsible for daily cash balances, manages relationships with financial institutions
• Maintains all company merchant accounts and lines of credit
• Manages payroll
• Completes and distributes IRS 1099-Misc. forms and tax reports for foreign employees
• Maintains corporate records
• Maintains Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Manages the details of the various benefit plans
• Ensures all necessary insurance is in place and in force
• Administers Athlete Training Fund and other special projects 
• Assists the USBSF Audit Committee in fulfilling its duties
• Serves as Corporate Secretary to USBSF Board of Directors

Carlock is a graduate of St. John Fisher College, where she earned a degree in sport management. Currently, she is a participant in the 2014-15 Team USA Leadership Certificate Program, which is a joint program through the United States Olympic Committee and the Kellogg Center for Nonprofit Management. In her personal life, Carlock is married to Jonathan Carlock and is a mom to two children, Evan and Bryn. She is a former collegiate lacrosse player, an avid, competitive (amateur) runner at distances from 5k to 1/2 marathon. She earned the title of "Ironman" at 2009 Louisville Ironman.
