How did you get into speedskating? When I was 10 years old, I saw a commercial on the Disney channel showing some kids speed skating, and decided I wanted to try it. Luckily the Pittsburgh speed skating club was not too far from my home and that’s where I got my start.

What is your most memorable speedskating moment? Winning the 777 at age class nationals in 2009.

What movie or book have you seen/read recently you would recommend? Why? I really like the book “Open” by Andre Agassi because he’s so brutally honest and his career is inspirational.

Favorite food? Guacamole

Who is your celebrity crush? Tom Hiddleston

Dream job? Psychiatric nurse

Favorite city? Washington, DC

When I am not training, you can find me... eating, sleeping, or studying

One thing I have promised myself to do someday is… Run a marathon, if my knees still love me

What is your charity involvement? I volunteer at the Salt Lake veterans home every week.

What was the best thing that happened to you this past week? I got a passing grade on my philosophy paper.

What are your plans after speedskating? Hopefully graduate from nursing school, and I want to stay involved with local speedskating clubs.

Do you have any good luck charms/superstitions/routines? I get ready too early for races because I’m paranoid about missing one.

Favorite quote? “Perfect practice makes perfect.”

If you had one day to live over again, what day would you pick? The day I got my drivers license.
