More on Lowell:
Bailey's two passions in life are biathlon and music. He has a travel guitar to bring on the road with him during biathlon competitions, and he even played at his team manager's wedding. He plays a mix of cover songs and ones he has written on his own.
"The best day of my life" was Lowell's comment upon making his first Olympic Biathlon Team... Skied for UVM from 2003-2005, taking a break from biathlon... Scored personal best 29th place (and first-ever World Cup Points) in his return to biathlon competition at Ostersund World Cup in December 2005 ... one of the few left handed shooters on the World Cup circuit... plays in a local band when in the Lake Placid area and always travels with his guitar... after his 27th place in Olympic 20K, he commented, "I am almost speechless. This did not exceed my expectations, but is a bit of a surprise."
